Applicant Instructions

Completing Your Character Sheet

Recommended Build Order

  1. Choose a class, then note level, subclass if applicable, armor training, proficiencies, and class features.
  2. Choose an origin: background, species, and languages. In the current rules, background is where many starting ability increases and origin feats come from.
  3. Generate ability scores by DM-approved method. Standard array is 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8; point buy uses 27 points; rolled scores require DM approval.
  4. Fill in derived numbers: modifiers, saving throws, skills, passive Perception, hit points, initiative, speed, attacks, spells, and equipment.
  5. Finish the Atomic-a-Plenty! fields. The memory anchor, reason for Oakhaven, and backstory matter as much as combat math.

Campaign Allowances

  • Use official D&D 5e/2024 character options unless the DM approves older, third-party, or homebrew material.
  • Start at level 1 unless the DM gives a different starting level. If starting at level 3 or higher, include your subclass.
  • Player characters should not use evil alignment, hostile joke builds, or campaign-breaking secrets without DM approval.
  • Legacy species, backgrounds, feats, spells, and subclasses are allowed only after review so they fit the table and the Oakhaven tone.
  • Do not enter real sensitive identity information. This is a character record and campaign prop.
